We asked and you voted. Here are the results for what Central New Yorkers say is the worst Thanksgiving side dish.

Thanksgiving is officially a week away. Now is the perfect time to talk about that side dish that no one likes. That side dish, that maybe you just want to skip this year so all that food doesn't go to waste.

Sweet potatoes
Mashed potatoes
Green bean casserole
Cranberry sauce
The turkey
Stuffing
Cornbread
Rolls

There was also a spot to put in your own answer.

Alright, let's get to these results...

First of all, we're going to go over the answers that were added. There were two added answers of turnips, a handful of "squash" responses, and one for "gravy, depending on who makes it." None of these added answers effected the outcome of the worst side dish.

You've been patient enough.

The worst side dish with almost 30% of the votes

was...

GREEN BEAN CASSEROLE.

Which is very devastating to me!! That's my FAVORITE side dish. Guess I'm just an odd duck.

Second-worst went to sweet potatoes with just over 27% of the votes. Third place was stuffing with almost 11% of the votes.

The best side dish according to these results??

Mashed potatoes.

Mashed potatoes didn't get a single vote as a bad side dish.

So maybe skip the green bean casserole this year (unless your my fiance's mother - Don't you dare!) and maybe the sweet potatoes. But you definitely need to have those mashed potatoes on the table.

Have a great Thanksgiving!
