Rome Man Captured After Escape From Hospital
Scott Hence of Rome had asked to use a restroom at St. Elizabeth Hospital, so his restraints were removed. The 29-year-old then pushed past officers, ran down stairs and out of the Utica hospital.
Hence was caught by Oneida County Sheriff deputies just outside of St. Elizabeth, and after a short struggle, was taken back into custody. The Post Standard reports that the man now faces a first-degree felony charge. He remains in lock-up and will appear in court.
