The Toccolana Cub on East Dominick Street in Rome was a very busy place over the weekend as teams from all over the U.S gathered to compete in the World Series of Bocce.  Teams from nearby northeastern states, Canada, and as far west at Arizona gathered for one of Rome's biggest summer events.

50 of the record-number of 106 teams this year are from Rome.  Most of them are made up of family, friends and co-workers.

World Series of Bocce chairman Mike Ferlo told the Rome Sentinel that the tournament saw record crowds this year.
