A number of 'hairy' Rome police officers helped raised almost three grand by giving up shaving for an entire month.

The Rome Police Department donated the $2,908 brought in during No Shave November to the Rome Rescue Mission.

The Rome Rescue Mission serves 200 meals per day and has an 18-bed shelter for women and children. They provide a means of hope by giving shelter to the homeless, feeding the poor, and inspiring lifelong learning.
