Did you join Twitter? How’s that working for you? I hope it’s been helpful! Don’t forget to @virtual_vicky any hot deals you find. I’ll try and retweet them to my followers.  I know Thanksgiving is probably on your mind and behind that is Christmas. Are you asking yourself what and how are you going to get everyone a present? Well, don’t worry, Black Friday and Cyber Monday are almost here!

I know some of you might think I’m crazy talking about going to the stores on Black Friday and others are saying ‘I’m right there with you’.  Well, I can tell you I don’t really go out on Black Friday. The madness at the stores tends to scary me. Some people can be mean while others are in the holiday spirit and are nice. But I know I must cover this topic since everyone is looking to save a little over the holidays.

Black Friday ads have been release or leaked. You can find a list of stores courtesy of my friend Polly at Big Frog 104. I know if you’re looking for a new TV Best Buy will have a 42” LCD for only $199! They will be opening at midnight on Black Friday. But remember to get there early as they will be handing out tickets for the big ticket items starting at 10pm on Thanksgiving. Toys can be expensive when shopping for your little ones. Make sure you look at the Toys R Us ad, there are some good doorbuster savings in it!

Don’t want to go out to the stores on Black Friday but still want to purchase the item? Shop online! I did that 2 years ago. I needed a luggage set and I found one on sale on Black Friday. I didn’t want to go to the store and deal with all the crowds so I went online and bought it on the store website! I received the item the following week! Now that was easy!

Another idea is to wait for Cyber Monday and shop online. It can be risky but sometimes you can find a better deal on Cyber Monday then on Black Friday. Last year there were some great sales on DVDs at Best Buy and Target. They can make for great stocking stuffers. I signed up to receive the deals in a newsletter and now I’m just waiting to find out about all the goodies!

Keep in mind if you have signed up for rewards clubs or to receive other offers from stores you might have a coupon or discount you can use on your purchases too! I know I use my RewardZone card from Best Buy and have $5 to use and I will be able to use that on Black Friday or Cyber Monday if I choose to do so!

That’s my words of wisdom for now on gift giving and saving for this holiday season. If you have any suggestions make sure you let me know @virtual_vicky or @lite987!  And don’t worry, I’ll be back with more saving tips on November 29th.
