Scavenger Hunt on Utica’s Switchbacks

Adventure (and fitness) awaits the whole family at the Spring Scavenger Hunt and Nature Walk in South Woods by the Switchbacks.

Where, you ask? Every runner in Utica knows about the Switchbacks and the 12 new fitness stations along the trail. It's located above the Valley View Golf Course in Roscoe Conkling Park, and it's a part of the Boilermaker course. The Central New York Conservancy and the Utica Children's Museum have teamed up for this series of "nature and play" events, and this should be a great one. A free snack will be provided for the kids too. They'll explore the fitness stations and tour the 2.2 mile trail, disguising a little exercise with something fun. It's also the perfect opportunity to find out more of what Utica's fantastic parks have to offer.

The Spring Scavenger Hunt is Saturday, May 20, 2017, starting at 11am at the South Woods Pavilion. You can find out more from the Central New York Conservancy and the Utica Children's Museum.
