Schenectady Girl Asks for Cards for Christmas After Tragic Accident

A 5-year-old girl from Schenectady is hoping to get Christmas cards from all across the world after a tragic fire took her family.

Safyre Terry is a young girl who has already been through more in her life than most people end up going through. Back in 2013 she lost her family - her father, and three siblings in a house fire. The worst news? The fire was purposely set.

Not only did Safyre lose her family, but she also lost her left foot and right hand, and has severe burns from the fire.

Safyre now lives with her aunt, who gave her a very special holiday tree that's used to hold Christmas cards. The young girl was so excited with the gift, she wanted to fill it up with Christmas cards - and she's hoping to get cards from all across the world to help fill up the tree.
