Scrabble Just Got More Hip

Are you desperately searching for that perfect triple-word score? Hang on, help is on the way. Scrabble now has a whole bunch of new words for you to use. The Scotsman is reporting that Scrabble has added everything from slang to social media to the Collins Official Scrabble Words book.
Yep, that means you can now play such words as “grrl,” “thang,” “innit,” “Facebook” and “MySpace.”
Editor Robert Groves says that the word additions, which total 3,000, are “an eclectic mix of new technological jargon, overseas English, recent colloquialisms, street slang, and a few phrases that had not made it on to the list until now.”
This is the first revision to the Collins dictionary since 2007.
