Several sheep on lam in Camillus are causing chaos. The animals escaped their pen almost two weeks ago and have been roaming the neighborhood ever since.

6 Jacob sheep and 4 domestic sheep got loose after heavy rains damaged their pen and a coyote got in, killing one. 2 have been captured but 8 are still on the loose, 6 Jacob and 2 domestic.

Tammy Wajtalewski-Lucio lives near the sheep owners and says they are a quiet immigrant family that just moved into the area.  Strangers have come together to try and help capture the sheep, including Lucio's boyfriend John Briggman who says it's not easy. "They are faster than you think."

People have also been stopping to take pictures on Corporal Welch Road, causing traffic problems in the area. Lucio says they are worried the sheep will get hit and ask everyone to drive with caution.

The Camillus Police Department is also working with the commmunity to capture the sheep and ask anyone with questions to call 315-487-0102.

Maybe we should call the cowboys who captured the cow that was on the loose in Utica for months.
