A battle has erupted between Miley Cyrus and Sinead O'Connor after O'Connor posted an open letter to Cyrus warning her not to let the music business make her a prostitute. How did it come to this?  In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Cyrus said O'Connor's video for "Nothing Compares To U" was inspiration for her own "Wrecking Ball" video.  In case you're not familiar with it, Cyrus is naked and licking a sledgehammer while on a wrecking ball.

That Rolling Stone comment sparked O'Connor to pen an open letter to Cyrus, warning her not to let herself be exploited by those using her body for money.

Cyrus then responded with nasty tweets, comparing O'Connor to troubled actress Amanda Bynes.

O'Connor and Cyrus have continued their battle with more open letters and tweets, and now O'Connor is threatening Cyrus with legal action if she doesn't apologize.

Perfect publicity for Cyrus, who'll be on SNL tomorrow night, not that she needs any more publicity these days.  Who can forget her VMA performance?

Do you think O'Connor has a valid point?
