A giant sinkhole has opened up in Albany, and has taken an SUV with it.

This video was posted on the "Albany Permanent Professional Firefighters Association Local 2007's" Facebook Page earlier today (Tuesday, August 2nd). It seems a giant sinkhole opened up in the area of South Lake and Elberon, after a water main break.

Just before 8:45 this morning, the first pictures were posted on Facebook of the vehicle half-engulfed by the sinkhole. By 10am, the sinkhole took the entire vehicle. A bystander shot the video (at the top of this page) and it was posted on Facebook just before 11am.

Several FD companies are continuing to work on the scene. They are asking the public to avoid that area.
