Just how bad has winter been in some parts of the midwest? This photo should give you a clue. The snow fall totals of the 2013-2014 winter rival those of the legendary Blizzard of 1978.

This photo was shared by the Berrien County Road Commission and compares the wall of snow along a rural road outside of Benton Harbor. The 2014 photo was framed on the same stretch of road as the 1978 photo for comparison. The snow depth is well over the trucks shown in the two photos and appear to be about twice as high as the man.

The incredible photos have been shared more than 5000 times on Facebook. Have you ever seen drifts this high in Central New York?
