A major late winter snowstorm has hit the East Coast affecting Washington, DC and Philadelphia. Since the snow hit on St. Patrick’s Day 2014, it’s no surprise that #SnowPatricksDay is now trending on Twitter.

The storm caused the closing of the federal government and schools throughout the region.
