Someone is throwing objects off the Route 12 overpass, damaging cars. Walter Scott of Utica was on his way home when his car was hit.

Scott says he was coming from work on Route 12 north when his car and another vehicle were hit by objects thrown from the Mulaney Road overpass near Dons Ford. "There were many weights in the road, a can of white paint, a metal bar, and several very large rocks. I believe I was hit by a rock, and the car behind me was hit by the full paint can."

Scott says it happened around 2:30AM Saturday, September 17th and he's just thankful no one was hurt. "I feel very lucky to be ok. Only my car was damaged."

This isn't the first time cars have been hit by objects thrown from overpasses. Ember Hart had a brick hit her car on 5S in May.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Oneida County Sheriff's Office at (315) 736-0141.
