Since the 1930's, it's been illegal to buy booze before Noon on Sunday here in New York State.  The current "blue law" prohibits the sales of alcohol at restaurants and taverns between 2am and 12 Noon on Sunday.

This week, Governor Andrew Cuomo recommended the update of the state's liquor law.  According to Syracuse.com, one change would allow Sunday restaurant and bar alcohol sales starting at 8am.  Another would set up a process for individual bars and restaurants to get a special permit to sell drinks on Sunday morning.

So, weather it's a Sunday brunch or a drink before a Bill's game, you may soon be able to enjoy one at the restaurant or sports bar.
