State Will Eye Snoop Concert At Lakeview Amphitheater

Snoop Dogg and Wiz Kalifa are scheduled to perform at the Lakeview Amphitheater on Saturday.  The hip-hop stars are promoting the concert as one where medical marijuana is allowed.  However, pot can't be legally smoked in New York State.

Snoop Dogg's Sunday concert at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center  (SPAC) led to 43 arrests.  Another concert with the rap duo in Wantagh, N.Y. ron Tuesday resulted in 10 teens being hospitalized for alcohol poisoning and drug over doses.

Since last summer, authorities have been conducting regular raids at concert venues across the state at part of Operation Prevent, reports Syracuse.com.  Venues being monitored this year include SPAC, Darien Lake Performing Arts Center and the Lakeview Amphitheater.
