Head of the hudson.
The rowing team at Marist College in Poughkeepsie discovered something very odd while practicing along the Hudson River.

Posted earlier today on Reddit on the r/Upstate_New_York forum, the photo gives no indication as to what this disembodied piece of statuary might have been.

So what exactly was this made of?  According to the OP on Reddit:

I'd like to run with this, but truth is it's made of styrofoam and fiberglass. I'm not saying that it wasn't heavy. It was waterlogged and it did take about 10 of us to get it on the dock.
