Early dates have been announced for Sting's upcoming "Back To Bass" tour, with the first show on May 30th in Kelowna, British Columbia.  So far, there are 17 stops on the tour.

As of this week, no Sting dates are scheduled for New York State, but hopefully that changes.  The closest show to our area is in Boston on June 21st at the Bank Of America Pavilion.  His tour will wrap up on June 26th in St. John's, NL.  Sting will be joined on the road by guitarist Dominic Miller, vocalist Jo Lawry, electric fiddler Peter Tickell, drummer Vinnie Colaiuta and keyboardist David Sancious.  Back in the 90's, I saw Sting at SPAC  and he put on a terrific show, so if you get a chance to see him, do it.    Sting has spent much of his career on the road and he says it would be hard to give up that part of the job.  More tour dates are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.  In other Sting news, he'll be part of the tribute to Bruce Springsteen at the MusiCares Person Of The Year Gala on February 8th in LA.
