‘Stomp’ And Harlem Globetrotters Make Music With Basketballs
Eight performers from the international sensation STOMP took to an outdoor basketball court with four stars from the world famous Harlem Globetrotters to celebrate the team’s 90th year.
Eight Performers from STOMP joined forces with Harlem Globetrotter stars Bull Bullard, Cheese Chisholm, Firefly Fisher, and Handles Franklin to make some creative basketball music. School children at recess, tourists, locals and residents from nearby apartment windows watched in amazement at an outdoor basketball court in New York City’s Greenwich Village.
This 2-minute video shows the performers making music from dribbling, passing, slam dunking and more. ABC reports the video shoot had to compete with ambulance sirens, truck honks and dozens of shrieking school kids. To make matters worse, clouds gathered, and the threat of rain was real. It took seven takes to get the one everyone agreed was flawless.
This video will get you excited to see the Harlem Globetrotters at the Utica Memorial Auditorium, February 4, 2016, as part of their 90th anniversary world tour. The Globetrotters will celebrate with over 330 games in more than 260 cities in North America starting December 26, 2015.
