Canadian Folk Singer Stompin’ Tom Connors Dies – Listen to His Best Known Songs

If you’ve ever ventured north of the border or are a fan of hockey, you’ve probably heard the music of Stompin’ Tom Connors.  The Canadian folk music legend passed away this week.

Connors earning the nickname ‘Stompin’ for keeping time with his heel on a large wooden plank.  You can see his famous plank in the photo above from a recent NHL Awards program.

Some of his best known songs are based on Canadian history, lore and culture.
