Strong Storms Hit Central New York
The hot, muggy temperatures brought on some short, but strong storms Sunday afternoon and evening. No serious damage was reported, but some trees were up-rooted and a few area roads became waterlogged.
Route 365 just north of Oneida was restricted to one lane in both directions for some flooding and debris after a storm passed through the area Sunday afternoon. Temperatures dropped nearly 20 degrees when the downpours hit the area.
