The Utica Zoo is offering unique learning experiences for kids with a variety of summer zoo camps.

Does your child or grandchild love animals? Maybe they’re a fan of ducks and frogs, or maybe they have always been interested in caring for different kinds of animals. Well, the Utica Zoo is offering special ‘camps’ this summer in a variety of fields that your young ones can attend. Below is a list of the camps available and what they teach:

LOGS, FROGS, & POLLYWOGS: This 'camp' has children exploring the watery world of marshes, swamps, and ponds. Kids will learn about frogs, ducks, and animals of all kinds found in these environments.
This camp runs July 5th through July 7th from 9am to 12pm and is for preschool-aged children. Cost is $60 for members or $75 for non-members.

CHOMP, SLURP, CHEW: This class is all about animals and their food. Have you ever wondered what a hedgehog likes to eat? Do you know what they feed the Red Pandas? Children will learn all about this and more during "Chomp, Slurp, Chew."
It runs from July 31st to August 4th, from 9am to 12pm and is for preschool-aged children. Cost is $110 for members or $135 for non-members.

CARE FOR OUR WORLD: Children will learn about all the different things animals need to survive and how we can help them. No matter how big or small the animals are, they all need care.
This camp has two different sessions. The first session runs from July 10th to July 14th from 9am to 12pm. The second session runs from July 31st to August 4th from 1pm to 4pm. This class is for children in kindergarten and 1st grade, and cost is $110 for members and $135 for non-members.

AROUND THE WORLD IN 5 DAYS: This camp will teach children about habitats near and far. They will take an adventure around the world to explore interesting and different habitats.
This class also has two sessions. The first session runs July 17th to July 21st from 9am to 3pm. The second session runs August 14th to August 18th from 9am to 3pm. This camp is for children in 2nd and 3rd grade, and cost is $160 for members and $185 for non-members.

EARTH & SKY: Children will learn about how animals adapt to different environments at this summer camp. They'll also learn about how the smallest animals play important roles in our world.
There are two sessions available for this class. The first session is July 24th to July 28th from 9am to 3pm. The second session is August 21st to August 25th from 9am to 3pm. This camp is for 4th and 5th graders and cost is $160 for members or $185 for non-members.
