Rome’s Canalfest Is The Place To Be This Weekend

When you’re thinking about your plans for the weekend, don’t forget to include Rome Rotary’s Canalfest. Events get underway this Friday at Bellamy Harbor Park off Mill Street and run through the weekend.
The kids won’t be bored because there’s so much to do. Canalfest is celebrating ten years with even more events and attractions, like a bicycle stunt show and anniversary cookie contest. There’s also a fishing derby, anything-but-a-boat race, a flower show, amusement rides, bands, water ski show, a dog show, crafters, food and lots more. Like fireworks? You’re in luck because Canalfest has fireworks every night. Friday hours are 5pm-10pm and Saturday and Sunday from noon to 10pm. Bring the family and have some fun in Rome this work escape weekend!
