Suspicious Phone Number Annoying Area Residents
Do you receive calls from phone numbers you don't recognize? Of course you do. Most people have. What do you do when that strange number appears on your caller ID? You probably just ignore it and assume it's either a wrong number, a telemarketer or even a bill collector, right?
Well, this past weekend the Rome Police Department received numerous complaints from people getting calls from one particular number. That number is (315) 538-2571 and is from Macedon, NY. Police say if you do get a call from that number not to answer it or try to call back. They suggest blocking the number and contacting the National Do Not Call Registry...
And of course, DO NOT give out personal information over the phone.
