Bacon Lovers This is for You: A Bacon Festival is Coming to CNY

If you think bacon should be in its own group on the food pyramid, this festival is for you. Coming to Syracuse in August it's the "Bacon Festival."

From BLTs to breakfast, bacon is an important staple of anyone's diet... At least, I think so. And if you think so too, you'll want to make your way to Clinton Square in Syracuse on Saturday, August 18th for their "Bacon Festival." This festival is for all things bacon - Like bacon macaroni and cheese to milkshakes with bacon in them! According to the Best Bacon Fest website,

Not only will there be classic bacon favorites... but there will be plenty of unique bacon creations as well! If you can make it, bake or shake it with bacon, we'll have it. Don't miss all of this plus live music and cold brews for a day of unlimited pork possibilities.

Sounds pretty good, right?! And if you're new to the bacon-goes-with-everything game, let me just tell you it does. I had my first milkshake with bacon in it about a year ago, and since then I've been hooked. It sounds crazy, but it's SO good. And you'll get the chance to experience bacon creations like that, and more, at this year's Bacon Festival.

This is the second year Syracuse is hosting a Bacon Festival, so it's sure to be even bigger and better. The event is free to attend, but you'll want to bring some cash to try all the delicious bacon treats.
