Way to go 'Cuse!  Last night, Syracuse defeated Duke in overtime in a college basketball thriller that will long be remembered.

The 91-89 Orangemen victory was filled with thrills.  Even the losing head coach, Duke's legendary Coach K, Mike Krzyzewski, asked, "How many people can say they were part of a game like this?"  Beyond the result of this one particular game this entire season is shaping up to be something really special for the Orange.

Last night's win broke Syracuse's record for its best start.  They are now undefeated, 21-0, in their first season in the ACC.  Syracuse should take over the top spot of the national rankings when the next set of polls are released.

For the many area sports fans who may feel the traditional post-Super Bowl blues Monday morning this Syracuse team offers an opportunity to keep the excitement rolling.  This team appears fully capable of a great run in the NCAA tournament.  They could bring the Orange their second national crown.

Also, let's look forward to February 22nd. The Orangemen will travel to Durham, North Carolina, to challenge Duke on their home court.  Based on what I saw last night it will not be easy.  But I bet it will be one heck of great game!
