SUNY Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse Designated ‘First Response’ Facility Against Ebola
New York health officials prepared today should there be a need to treat a case of the Ebola virus in the state by naming 8 'First Response' hospitals. Among them, SUNY Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse.
The 8 selected hospitals have had teams prepped and drilled should a patient present with Ebola-like symptoms.
The only other upstate first response hospitals is in Rochester. Six hospitals downstate in New York City and Long Island have also been given the designation.
