The Syracuse Orange hope to make it three straight in bowl games tonight as they take on the University of Minnesota in the Texas Bowl at Reliant Stadium in Houston.

'Cuse has won four of its last five and 11 of their last 14 bowl games, dating back to 1989.

The Orange (6-6, 4-4 ACC) narrowly qualified for college football's postseason, with a last second 34-31 win over Boston College on November 30. Terrell Hunt connected with Josh Parish on a eight-yard TD score. It's been nearly a month, but the Orange faithful hope that momentum continues tonight.

Hunt, a sophomore, had career best 360 yards of total offense - 270 yards and 2 TD's in the air and 90 more with a score on the ground in the win over BC.

The Golden Gophers (8-4, 4-4 BIG TEN) lost their final two games of the year - vs. Michigan State and Wisconsin - putting up a combined 10 points those defeats.

Gophers QB Philip Nelson passed for 1,288 yards with nine touchdowns and six picks on the year. He also ran for six TD's. Their running game was bolstered by David Cobb's 1,111 rushing yards and seven scores. Running back Mitch Leidner also found the end zone seven times.

Game time is 6 p.m. eastern and will be televised nationally on ESPN.
