Jasmine came to the Rome shelter as a stray back in mid-September. She was very shy when she first arrived, but she gets braver every day. Once Jasmine trusts someone, she is very loyal and loving with them. Jasmine has been working with their dog trainer and knows some commands like sit and down. She is such a good girl, so take her home with you today!

Today I'd like to focus on a couple of special cats that need a home. When I visited the Stevens-Swan Humane Society yesterday, I got a really good look at Bonnie, who wants to be your new friend. I also noticed that Bourbon is still looking for you. Find out more.

So what is a tortoiseshell cat? These cats have coats with patches of red, brown or black, chocolate, cream, or cinnamon. Perhaps that's why she's named Cinnabun. The size of the patches can vary from a fine speckled pattern to large areas of color. I can't believe how much Cinnabun looks like our cat Snickers. Their colors will blend into any household decor.

Good news, we were going to feature Melanie at the Rome Humane Society, but, she's been adopted so today we'd like to tell you about Sam. Have you ever wondered what happens to that stray dog you may see walking along the road?  That was Sams situation. Fortunately he was picked up and brought to the shelter and now he's waiting for you.

Chavo is a 3 year old male Pit Bull Terrier mix and is very playful and affectionate. He's beeen at the shelter since November and is still looking for his forever home. Pitbulls, you either love them to death or are scared to death of them. We think you'll fall in love with Dutch. Also. we'd like to show you a video of him as well. This is new and exciting. Good News! Diesel and Zoe have been adopted from the Rome Humane Society! So today we'd like you to find out about Cotton. Cotton is a big, beautiful, 4-5 year old, spayed female, long haired black and white cat. She is friendly and affectionate & she loves to get attention

Good News! Adoption fees on some pets at the Rome Humane Society have been reduced so now is the time to meet Diesel. He is a handsome, 7 year old, neutered male, gray and white Weimaraner/Dalmatian mix. He has the most soulful gray eyes. Diesel has very short fur (he is almost bald!) so he won't shed much in the house! He is easy going and friendly loves to be petted & cuddled.

Now I've seen cats with seven fingers that looks like their wearing mittens. I've seen them with bent tails or no tail at all, but I've never seen a cat with such a unique looking ear. Bourbon looks like is always listening to what your saying with his bent ear. You gotta see this. Call to find out about Bourbon at 738-4357.

Zoe arrived at the shelter on February 3rd, skinny and scruffy. She was terrified at first, but with some good food and love, she gained weight & her fur became thick and glossy. Then she came out of her shell.  Zoe is a beautiful, 2-3 year old, spayed female, black and white cat. She is laid back and affectionate and she loves to get attention. Come meet this pretty kitty today!

It's Adopt A Pet Wednesday and today we'd like to tell you about Dewey. Dewey is a 6 month old, dark brindle Mastiff/Hound mix. He's very handsome and loves having another dog to play with. Dewey even does well with cats!
