There's one thing we know for sure about little kids-- they can make practically anything seem adorable. Scrunched-up, twisted sour faces? Check. A boppin' on a bed rendition of Michael Jackson's 'Thriller'? You betcha! Although we're a little dumbfounded as to how this "everything is ridiculously adorable" thing actually happens, we can't help but be sucked into the cuteness every darn time. While pets are usually ambivalent about the Halloween costumes their owners dress them in, Tangent the chihuahua seems pretty pleased with the added firepower of his spiffy tank get up.

The tank, which took first prize at the local Petsmart’s Halloween contest, features a gun that lights up and makes shooting sounds when Tangent’s owner pulls a trigger on her side of the leash.

The CDC reports children are four times more likely to be hit by cars on October 31 than on any other day of the year — probably not terribly surprising, given the increase in the number of kids who are out and about on Halloween.
