This week the Supreme Court is hearing arguments for Proposition 8, which banned gay marriage in California. They are also weighing the Defense of Marriage Act, which defines marriage as between a man and a woman.

To show their support for the LGBT community, people have been changing their profile pictures on Facebook. It started as big blocks of solid red. Then changed to a red block with a pink equal sign, which is symbol of the Human Rights Campaign. Now things have gotten a little out of control and some more creative options have popped up. LGBT activist Lair Scott thinks so, and he has created on online petition on Change.org which requests that Sesame Street and PBS allow the pair to wed. According to the petition, such a matrimony would help teach kids that homophobia is not OK.
