good news and your views

I can be very specific about a trend I've noticed over the past few years. Most of my male friends, age 40 plus, have a very doom and gloom outlook on things happening these days. No matter how hard I try to convince them otherwise, I just get labeled. Well my pessimistic friends, here are 14 fact-checked things to back me up, thanks to the always awesome John Green.
