Andrew Gold, Musician, Songwriter, Arranger Passes at 59

Andrew Gold played several instruments and arranged music on several Linda Ronstadt albums in the '70s along with plenty of his own creations that we'll never forget. I remember his song 'Lonely Boy' on the radio when I was a kid. It did go Top 10 hit in 1977.

On June 6, 2011 the Los Angeles Times reported that Andrew Gold, had died. He was 59.

Gold died Friday in his sleep at his home in Encino, said his sister, Melani Gold Friedman. He had cancer but had been responding well to treatment, she said.

LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibirian kicked off the Easter weekend with a bit of a surprise.

According to the LA Times, the couple were married Friday night before about 40 guests at a private residence in California. Among the guests were Cibrian’s two sons, Mason and Jake, from a previous marriage (that you may have heard about on the Lite 98.7 Most Music Morning Show).

Here is something you may not know about me, Mark Richards, I watch OWN, (Oprah Winfrey Network). There are some very interesting investigative reporting shows on that channel.

According to the LA Times, the daytime icon will interview President Barack Obama and his wife, First Lady Michelle, on April 27.
