It’s sad to think that next week is Regis Philbin’s last week of hosting ‘Live with Regis & Kelly’ after 28 years. The show will continue, of course, as Kelly Ripa signed a new, five-year contract yesterday, but it won’t be the same without this household name.

The last week, however, looks like a good one. Besides the teary goodbyes and the flashback montages, they’ve got a great guest list, including stars like Kathie Lee Gifford and David Letterman.

Regis Philbin may be exiting ‘Live!’ in a couple weeks, but Kelly Ripa is staying put.

The 41-year-old actress and host, who celebrated a decade with the show in February, just signed a new five-year contract with Disney-ABC Domestic Television that will begin when her current deal expires late next year.

Regis Philbin announced today that he is retiring for LIVE with Regis and Kelly after 25+ years of hosting the daytime talker. He'll give up the high-chair next to Kelly at the end of summer.
