Are mermaids real? A recent Animal Planet program called "Mermaids: the Body Found" that allegeldy recounts a body washed on shore has raised the question. A question similar to the ones raised after Fox aired the 'UFO Autopsy' mockumentary. Now the National Ocean Service has responded saying that mercreatures (mermaids and mermen) are not real.
