If you’ve been tracking the goings-on at the Cannes Film Festival this week, you know that one of the best reviewed films of the fest so far is Amy, a documentary on the life of the late singer/songwriter Amy Winehouse. The film, which is directed by Senna filmmaker Asif Kapadia, has gotten near-universal praise. It’s currently at 100 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, with lots of other positive reviews out there that haven’t been added to the site yet (like a glowing rave from former ScreenCrush critic Jordan Hoffman at Vanity Fair).

For 35 years The Make-A- Wish Foundation has been making the dreams of terminally ill kids come true. It can be anything from a visit by a celebrity to a trip to Disney World. For Miles Scott his wish included a whole city and even the President himself. For one whole day he became "Batkid" and it was one of the biggest wishes granted in 'Make-A-Wish' history.

It’s no secret that Pixels began its life as a short film, a special effects demo that showed off some inventive and amusing imagery that wasn’t required to have things like, you know, a plot or characters. So the feature version of Pixels had to find an excuse for classic arcade characters to invade Earth and that excuse was aliens. Who look like Pac-Man and Donkey Kong for some reason. On Monday, April 20, fans can attend a special event at IMAX theaters around the country where the new Batman v Superman trailer will debut after a special introduction from director Zack Snyder. They spent this week teasing that big unveiling with previews of the preview on Snyder’s Twitter feed. This was a carefully orchestrated media event.

It may not have a number in its title, but Mad Max: Fury Road is the fourth film in a series stretching back to 1979. And while original star Mel Gibson has been replaced by Tom Hardy, director George Miller is present and accounted for, still wrecking cars in the post-apocalypse for your amusement. The newest trailer for the Fury Road, labeled the “legacy trailer,” uses footage from the past films build up to the newest entry to remind potential viewers this isn’t just another action franchise. It’s been teased and now it’s been confirmed by director Zack Snyder: The first preview for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will debut on April 20 only in IMAX theaters at a “special teaser screening event” that will also include an introduction from Snyder. On Twitter, Snyder revealed exactly how to attend the event, and gave a brief taste of what’s to come:
