The Great New York State Fair has announced an all new event at the State Fair Grandstand, The Monster Truck Mix-Up, it's coming to the NY State Fair on Sunday, Sept. 2 at 6:30!
Who doesn't love to watch cars crunch, bump and slam each other until only one vehicle remains moving. It's going to happen during the popular Double Figure 8 event, the Demolition Derby, coming to the Great NY State Fair on Labor Day September 3rd.
Women's Day will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 29 at the 2012 Great New York State Fair. The morning will begin in the New Times Theater with coffee and networking followed by the presentation "Battling the Silent Killers of Women," by the Combat Divas, Freida Weeks and Leisha Tedford at 11:00 a.m. The annual Women's Day Luncheon will be held in the Empire Room at noon.

Disney Channel actress and singer Bridgit Mendler, rock band Three Dog Night, “Jersey Boys" quartet Midtown Men, rock band Collective Soul and Food Network star Guy Fieri will be at the 2012 Fair.

British pop group The Wanted and comedian and actor Larry the Cable Guy are coming to Central NY. Tickets for both shows will go on sale at 9 a.m. on Saturday, July 14.

Two different acts will perform each day at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. And remember, all shows at Chevy Court are free with Fair admission.
Keith Urban, winner of four Grammy Awards for Best Male Country Vocal Performance, will bring his 2012 concert tour to the Great New York State Fair as part of the Grandstand concert series at 7:30 pm on Friday, Aug. 24. Tickets prices are $65, $55 or $45, and gets you onto to the fairgrounds that day if purchased prior to the date of the concert. The ticket on-sale date will be disclosed as more concerts announcements are made.

The concert series will have several performances by local, regional and national touring artists from a variety of genres. It is anticipated that the number of shows will increase from 2011's 6 to 9 this year. That means more free live music for fair goers!
