Over the years, I've seen some incredible bands on the Chevy Court stage at "The Great New York State Fair" in Syracuse. And those shows are free, once you pay fair admisison. We just learned that "SmashMouth" will be performing this year.

Even though "The Great New York State Fair" in Syracuse is months away, now is the time to enter many of the competitions held at the fair. There are competitions for antique tractors, pigeons and watermelon carving, to name a few.

If you're looking for a summer job, the Great New York State Fair is hiring. They look to fill 1,200 positions for jobs like security guards, bathroom attendants, cleaners and many other positions. The Great New York State Fair starts on August 22.

The Great New York State Fair has just announced six fantastic Grandstand shows for the 2013 season. Luke Bryan, Toby Keith, Carly Rae Jepsen, Reba McEntire, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Jeff Dunham are coming to Central New York!

A while back, we mentioned that "The Great New York State Fair" was looking for New Yorkers to come up with a new theme for the 2013 fair. Now, they've narrowed down the entries to 10 themes.

The show co-organizer Joanne Suchon calls the Syracuse Motorama show "the largest, most beautiful collection of classic cars in the Northeast." If you love classic cars, don't miss this. Also, find out about a free fun kids event, also this weekend.
