In the 90's it seemed to taper off but, it looks like the era of the Defense Departments 436 dollar hammer lives on in Washington DC. A newly released report accuses the Justice Department of spending $16 on muffins served at a Washington legal conference in 2009. Yep, 16 dollars a piece!
