Temperatures were WEIRD this week

Forget Punxsutawney Phil! All eyes will be on Cluxatawney Henrietta, New York's weather-predicting chicken!

We all LOVE the movie "Groundhog Day" especially on February 2nd. The original ending to the movie had a plot twist...and I'm glad that they didn't do it.

Are the days of Punxsutawney Phil predicting when spring will arrive on Groundhog's Day coming to an end? They are if PETA gets their way.

It's time for the groundhog to look for it's shadow, but since Punxsutawney Phil is native to Pennsylvania we decided to pick our own Groundhog Day mascot.

This Sunday, 2/2/14 is a very important day.  Not only is it Super Bowl Sunday but it's also Groundhog Day.  How much longer will winter last?  Will Punxsutawney Phil see his shadow Sunday morning?

Today was the day that the groundhog named Phil from Punxsatawny, PA emerges and either sees his shadow or doesn't. Apparently he has a shadow like Peter Pan's and it eluded him this time, so looks like an early spring is on the menu! Now let's just hope it comes in like a lamb rather than a lion! TIme to go watch me some Bill Murray!

6 more weeks of winter is on the way.  At least according to Punxsutawney Phil, the infamous ground hog.  On Gobblers Knob this morning Phil proclaimed 'As I look at the crowd on Gobblers Knob, many shadows do I see, so six more weeks of winter it must be.'
