December 2, 2011 Route 69 between Gore Road and Link Road re-opened last night around 6pm but, motorists will encounter one-way alternating traffic controlled by a temporary signal, due to the highway repairs. September 29, 2011 It's great to see all the road improvements underway here in Central New York. I enjoy the sight of construction workers hard at work. It makes me feel like we're rebuilding America. But I can't help but wonder, "why this road and not that road?" I'm sure officials must decide what money goes to what project, so I hope they'll take a look at this list before the next meeting.
September 23, 2011 As I drove in this morning I was thinking about the roundabout being built at Oneida & Genesee Streets in Utica and then, thump goes my car on the torn up roadway at the Edic Road exit off the 790. My goodness, there is plenty of road work happening in Central NY. For example, the Route 5S eastbound bridge over Pitcher Street is being worked on. Motorists will encounter a shoulder closure and shortened exit ramp at the Turner Street exit.
The recent storms may cause headaches for your ride in this morning. A number of roads are flooded or closed causing several school delays and closings.
