November 28, 2012 Criss arrived at the Rome Humane Society back on July 11. As you can see in the video he had some sort of dental disease, but thanks to a generous donor, he was able to have a couple of teeth extracted, and now is doing well. He has completly recovered from his surgery, and just wait until you see his smile now. Criss can't wait to go home with you and show off his smile in your house.
November 14, 2012 Well, thank you so much Central New York, both Cinnabun and Jasmine have been adopted from the Rome Humane Society. If your looking for a dog that love to stick his head out of the window when going for a drive, Perro is the dog for you. He rides well in the car, and would love to take a ride to his new home, yours! Perro is an adorable, 9-10 year old, neutered male, black and tan chow/shepherd mix. He is friendly and outgoing and he also loves to go for walks.
October 31, 2012 For the first time in our adopt-a-pet feature we're asking you to adopt two cats at once. Felix and Otis are inseparable as you'll see in the video. Felix is a handsome, six year old. neutered male. He is a gray tiger cat with plenty of white splashes. Otis is a very cute, six year old, neutered male, medium haired black & white cat. Felix and Otis are best friends and they would love to be adopted together.
October 17, 2012 Jasmine came to the Rome shelter as a stray back in mid-September. She was very shy when she first arrived, but she gets braver every day. Once Jasmine trusts someone, she is very loyal and loving with them. Jasmine has been working with their dog trainer and knows some commands like sit and down. She is such a good girl, so take her home with you today!
October 3, 2012 So what is a tortoiseshell cat? These cats have coats with patches of red, brown or black, chocolate, cream, or cinnamon. Perhaps that's why she's named Cinnabun. The size of the patches can vary from a fine speckled pattern to large areas of color. I can't believe how much Cinnabun looks like our cat Snickers. Their colors will blend into any household decor.

August 22, 2012 Good News! Adoption fees on some pets at the Rome Humane Society have been reduced so now is the time to meet Diesel. He is a handsome, 7 year old, neutered male, gray and white Weimaraner/Dalmatian mix. He has the most soulful gray eyes. Diesel has very short fur (he is almost bald!) so he won't shed much in the house! He is easy going and friendly loves to be petted & cuddled.
August 8, 2012 Zoe arrived at the shelter on February 3rd, skinny and scruffy. She was terrified at first, but with some good food and love, she gained weight & her fur became thick and glossy. Then she came out of her shell. Zoe is a beautiful, 2-3 year old, spayed female, black and white cat. She is laid back and affectionate and she loves to get attention.
