We would like to try something different this week and feature three dogs currently living at the Stevens-Swan Humane Society. I say this affectionately, if they could talk, they'd be barking, "take me home with you"! Please read on and learn more about Red, Maggie and Braxton who are looking for a new home for the holidays.
While strolling through the boarding room full of dogs at the Stevens-Swan Humane Society last week only one dog wasn't barking it's head off at me. I say that affectionately. If they could talk, they'd be yelling, take me home with you! The quiet dog was Beagsly who is still looking for his forever home. Beagsly actually was adopted in 2009 but after a couple of years the family realized that they just couldn't afford him any longer so back to the shelter he went.
The Stevens-Swan Humane Society once again has enlisted professional photographers who will use beautiful Holiday backdrops to create photos of you and/or your pets in the Holiday spirit. Mark your calenders for November 17th and 18th where for just a $15 gift you'll get two 5 X 7 photos mailed directly to you in time for the holidays.
I went back to Stevens-Swan Humane Society last week and could not help but notice that Bourbon and Sparkles are still looking for their forever home. When I visited the Stevens-Swan Humane society last week, one cat really stood out. I noticed a cat with a lot of energy, bouncing around, climbing onto things and wiggling when held. She's Sparkles, a two year old domestic short hair kitty who loves to bask on the window sill, enjoying the warmth of the sun. Sparkles is a mommy who's happy that all four of her kittens have found their forever home, now, she is looking for hers! She gets along great with other cats also.

Chavo is a 3 year old male Pit Bull Terrier mix and is very playful and affectionate. He's beeen at the shelter since November and is still looking for his forever home. It's the 20th annual Wiggle Waggle Walk-A-Thon, Sunday the 16th at New Hartford Town Park from noon to 3pm. Bring your dog or walk one from the shelter. There will be food, music, vendors, plenty of dog contests and more.
Pitbulls, you either love them to death or are scared to death of them. We think you'll fall in love with Dutch. Also. we'd like to show you a video of him as well. This is new and exciting.
