After three years, here’s Steven Spielberg’s follow-up to Lincoln: Another historical drama about freedom and law and essential American values.

When Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg last made a war film, they produced Saving Private Ryan, which was nominated for 11 Academy Awards, and features what’s widely considered one of the greatest battle scenes ever captured on film. They’ve worked together since, including on Catch Me If You Can, one of the best movies of either man’s career, but Bridge of Spies might be considered a kind of spiritual sequel to Ryan. That was Hanks and Spielberg’s World War II picture. This is their Cold War one.

The Late Late Show With James Corden made its grand debut last night, with seemingly every celebrity in existence popping up to say hello. But for his first official guest, Corden snagged everyone’s favorite actor: the one and only Tom Hanks. More importantly, he got Tom Hanks to get really silly and there are few things better than Hanks throwing caution to the wind and embracing his inner comedian. In this case, he got the two-time Oscar winner to re-enact all of his movies in less than eight minutes.

The powerful play of movie-to-TV reboots goes on, and FOX may contribute another verse. Following an announcement of its 'Minority Report' sequel series, the network has next wished up an "event series" reboot of the classic Tom Hanks comedy 'Big,' as shepherded by 'Enlisted' creators Kevin Biegel and Mike Royce.

Americans love their movies and their movie stars.  Tom Hanks should be feeling plenty of love right about now.  Hanks is America's favorite movie star and this isn't the first time he's received such accolades.

Everyone remembers the scene in 'Big' when Tom Hanks plays "Chopsticks" on the novelty piano with just his feet. Hanks recently appeared on 'The Jonathan Ross Show' to relive the magic with the host, but then we got a special surprise: Sandra Bullock, who was on hand to promote 'Gravity,' joined in the fun. And even more impressive: Bullock can play "Chopsticks" in high heels!

Perhaps you already knew that Tom Hanks has had some medical issues, well, when appearing on the "Late Show With David Letterman", Tom revealed that he has been diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes.

The 'Saving Mr. Banks' trailer has arrived via our friends at Moviefone, giving us the first footage of what promises to be one of the most talked about movies this awards season. We'd expect nothing less from a movie about the making of 'Mary Poppins,' with the great Tom Hanks playing Walt Disney and the equally great Emma Thompson playing P.L. Travers.

'Cloud Atlas' opens Friday, and it's the sort of picture that will have people raving about it, one way or the other. Our own Matt Singer gave it an 8 out of 10, where others are calling it one of the best films of the year. The actors involved seemed to love making it, or at least that's the impression they give in this new featurette.
