'Dracula Untold' is hitting theaters this weekend*, and truth be, uh, told, it doesn't look that great. But it could be worse -- a whole lot worse. Cinema has a rich history with blood-suckers, and thanks to the over-saturation in the genre, it's quite rare to see a great vampire film. For every good one, there's at least 10 not-so-good vampire flicks. Honestly, it was hard to choose just 10 because there are some real stinkers out there. The residents of a small Louisiana town where some scenes of the popular vampire HBO TV series True Blood were filmed, were evacuated last week after the state police uncovered a 3,000 ton (6 million pound) stash of explosives. Maybe if you blow up vampires into a zillion pieces they can't regenerate?
With 'Breaking Dawn -- Part 2' coming out this weekend, should you shell out $15 for a ticket, or just stay home and have a massive TiVo 'Vampire Diaries' party in your sweatpants? We support the latter decision. And not just because we love sweatpants...
Last week eBay seller Jack Mord offered up this photo of a man who lived in Bristol, Tennessee around the time of the Civil War as evidence that actor Nicolas Cage is a vampire “who quickens/reinvents himself once every 75 years or so.”
