The sun was shining and the temperature was perfect for the Annual Fire Truck show last night at the New Hartford Shopping Center. The parking lot was packed with people of all ages and when we got there, everyone was waiting the arrival of the medical helicopter. What a thrill it was to watch it land.

Being a news reporter puts you in all sorts of situations and some of them can be quite dangerous. A reporter in West Virginia was shot at while she was covering a murder story. Luckily she wasn't hit but it shook her up a bit  which is completely understandable.

Ever been caught outside in a hailstorm? I have and it's amazing how hard that hail comes pelting down.  Extreme weather in Siberia had people on this beach seeking any type of shelter from the hail hitting the beach. Those beach umbrellas look kind of flimsy to me.

Yet another story of kids left inside hot cars. This should never happen. Ever.  Fortunately, cries from the kids left inside this Texas car caught the attention of shoppers nearby and they smashed the car's windows to free the kids. Thankfully these shoppers were looking out for these kids even though their Mom wasn't.

An eight year old boy in Minneapolis loves to play the piano and he really wants to play it for other people too. So imagine his surprise when he gave a free concert at his house and hundreds of people came to cheer him on despite the rain and even carrying signs with his name. The power of social media.
