On Tuesday, March 25th, 2014, The Buffalo Bills had to make the announcement that no Buffalo Bills fan wanted to hear. In Orlando, Florida, Buffalo Bills CEO and Team President Russ Brandon announced that Ralph C. Wilson Jr. has, in fact, passed away at the age of 95. I'd like to say, thanks for the memories Ralph.

It all started for me when dad took me to the old rock pile or, War Memorial Stadium, in Buffalo, to watch Joe Fergeson hand off to O.J. Simpson. O.J. actually ran for 2003 yards in one season.

In 1973 Ralph Wilson Stadium opened in Orchard Park NY dispelling rumors at that time that the team may move to a larger city. With Ralph's passing now, those rumors are sure to recirculate.

Unarguably the early 1990s were the best years to be a die hard Bills fans as Jim Kelly lead his team to four straight Superbowls only to be defeated in each contest.

In December 2012 Ralph Wilson with the support of Governor Cuomo began planning a new Buffalo Bills stadium in downtown Buffalo because by the time the lease runs out in 2023, Ralph Wilson Stadium will be 50 years old. If this plan is fulfilled we know Ralph will be smiling down from heaven on his amazing accomplishment.

So, in closing, thanks for the memories Ralph, you will truly be missed.
