The Best Places in Utica for a Bachelor Party – Our Top 5
Spring is here and that means wedding season will soon be in full swing across Central New York. And wedding season is inevitably preceded by Bachelor Party Season. I decided to give you a rundown of the best Bachelor Party Locations in and around Utica. It’s hard to believe it was five years ago that Mrs. Carson and I took the plunge.
Looking back at it now, besides the wedding, one of the best nights of my life was my stag/bachelor party. I won’t get into too many details here for obvious reasons…but what I’d like to do is talk about some places in the Mohawk Valley that make for a good place to hold a party in honor of the groom to be.
12 North Sports Bar
The 11 acre complex at the 12 North Sports Bar has a lot to offer…there are two pavilions and a full catering menu to choose from. Softball fields, horseshoes and a volleyball. A good place for when you need to keep the entertainment PG-ish…but can add the R-rated “outside” entertainment. And don’t worry if the weather doesn’t cooperate…they have a bar on site that provides live entertainment on weekends. My stag party was held here and a good time was had by all. At least from what I remember.

Lava @ Turning Stone
Lava is the only club in the Mohawk Valley that offers VIP Host, Seating and Service also hosted a couple of bachelor parties attended by yours truly. There are a lot of positives to having a bachelor party here. Besides the usual shenanigans found in a dance club, there’s great food to be found at the many eateries inside the Turning Stone. Guys can escape from the women dancing a circle around their purses and go gamble. (And the guys that want to stare at the dancing and get shot down all night can just do so and stay there) And of course, if you’ve had too many party beverages, a great hotel room is just a stumble away.

Danielle’s at Valley View
Why not make it a full day and start the impending gong show with 18 holes of golf with your good friends! Afterwards, Danielle’s can provide you with good food and spirit in either their dining room, or in their banquet facility. And remember, what happens on the golf course, stays on the golf course!

Celtic Harp
Most people know that Varick Street in Utica has a great night scene with watering holes all over the place. One of my favorites is the Celtic Harp. This establishment has two levels which allows for private parties like a bachelor/stag party. They also have weekend entertainment and when the weather cooperates, an outdoor bar. A great starting destination on a night of tomfoolery!

Pin-O-Rama in Utica or King Pin Lanes in Rome
So maybe the idea of destroying your liver and then waking up with a tiger in your bathroom is not appealing to you. Or maybe a Jack-N-Jill party is in the works. AMF Pin-O-Rama can be a great, fun alternative. Seriously. When was the last time you went bowling? Lots of smiles. Lots of fun. Family friendly. Everyone has a good time.
