For the first time since he bought the Buffalo Bills franchise 53 years ago, owner Ralph Wilson is giving up organization control. CEO Russ Brandon was officially named Team President and will take over complete control of the team.

Some say there will be no improvements as Buddy Nix will remain the General Manager for the Bills with assistant GM Doug Whaley his likely successor. CEO Russ Brandon will likely take full control of football operations. Only once before has Ralph Wilson given the title of Team President to another individual. That was back in 2000 when it was handed to Tom Donahoe. But Wilson never gave up organizational control and would always have the final say on all football matters. Those days are now over with a symbolic passing of the torch to Brandon who has been told “its your show”. Fans are okay with the first order of business, finding a new head coach for the team as Chan Gailey who has records of 4-12, 6-10 and 6-10 has been released along with entire coaching staff. Management has made the trip to Arizona where they will interview former Cardinals Head Coach Ken Whisenhunt and Cards Defensive Coordinator Ray Horton. Fans are also hoping for a future franchise quarterback during the upcoming draft. It has also been reported that the Bills have been contacted by former Bears Head Coach Lovie Smith who has expressed an interest in a coaching job. Plus, The Bills will interview Syracuse Head Coach Doug Marrone. Fans are excited, yet saddened that again our team did not make the play-offs. Speaking of which, I'm going to call three out of the four underdogs for this weekends games, winners. I think Houston, Minnesota, The Colts and Washington will advance. Who do you think will win? Find out what the experts predict.
