After playing for the Buffalo Bills over the last ten years, he has been credited as the most accurate kicker in team history. Unfortunately even the accomplished careers of NFL kickers must come to an end, and earlier this week Rian Lindell’s time with the Bills came to a close as Buffalo released him.

36 year old Rian Lindell connected on better than 83 percent of his career field goal attempts with Buffalo (83.3% to be exact), and he had his share of game-winning attempts in his 10 years with the club. His most recent was the one that gave Buffalo the overtime win in Arizona last season in Week 6 (19-16).

Perhaps his most memorable was his 28-yard game winner on Sept. 25, 2011 to end the Bills’ 15-game losing streak to the New England Patriots in a 34-31 victory. My son and I lost our voices while at that game.

The Buffalo Bills are on a roll after winning their first two preseason games for the first time since going 2-2 back in 2010. They have already surpassed their preseason points total from each of the past two years. The Buffalo Bills already have scored 64 points in two games under new coach Doug Marrone. They'll take on the Washington Redskins in preseason action Saturday night (August 24th, 2013).
